David Jenyns and Ryan T Malone have been flipping websites for some time now, putting their expertise into practice selling Dave’s portfolio of some 500 aged websites that were purchased prior to the development of The SEO Method back in 2005 – 2006. Now, armed with more knowledge and secret tips, they are riding on the cutting edge of website flipping, and buying websites for profit.
Dave’s Story
Dave comes from a background within the Stock Market, coming from being one of the most in demand Stock Market experts in Australia. After traveling Australia to speak at a sold out string of seminars across the country, Dave decided to shift his focus on to this new viable business model that was based entirely online. After years of self development, testing, refining, and finding the perfect team to work with, David had become “The Complete Entrepreneur”, an expert in not just the Stock Market, but in SEO and Online business.
In more recent times, David has shifted his focus to developing his SEO Company, Melbourne SEO Services, which aims to assist a variety of upcoming online businesses, and existing real world businesses in establishing their identity and findability online. Along with developing this business, David also has a keen eye for flipping websites, and along with his partner in crime, Ryan T Malone (who both met by random chance back in 2009), has been providing his valuable insight into selling websites on Flippa, which when combined with Ryan’s input (see his bio below) has become an unstoppable force in the site flipping market.
Ryan’s Story
Ryan “unofficially” started out online back in 1997, when he created his first website for a band that he was a member of. After being approached at a show that he was playing by fans who had found out about them online, Ryan was certain that this brand new thing called “The Internet” was going to be absolutely huge, although, circumstance didn’t quite permit Ryan to start out his endeavors online for some time. In the meantime, Ryan took all the time that he needed to learn real world sales and customer service (about 10 years on the sales floor/call center/wholesaler/etc).
Come late 2008, Ryan found himself out of the last full time job that he would ever work, setting out to re-learn everything about the internet that he needed to know. As it turned out, a lot had changed, but it appeared that HTML still worked, so Ryan was hell bent on creating a new website, which gradually turned into several more, however, the problem was that the traffic was not quite showing up for the party.
In 2009, Ryan had a fairly evolved idea of SEO, having ranked for some highly competitive “ego” keywords, however, something appeared to be missing. Through a complete chance encounter, Ryan found himself in regular contact with David Jenyns (read his full bio here), who along with The SEO Method, taught Ryan the ins and outs of SEO, and how he can use it to develop his brand.
Everyone has a defining moment, and Ryan’s came when he was considering selling a website. The only problem was that he had no idea how to sell a website, where to sell one, or even how much to sell one for. After speaking to David on the balcony of Melbourne SEO Services HQ, Ryan told Dave that he was thinking of selling a website of his. Dave replied to this saying that he wanted to learn how to sell websites too, and had heard of this marketplace called “Flippa” which was literally the buzz word at the time. From here, Ryan went off and sold his first website for $1000, which David shortly doubled by selling his first for $2000.
From here, the rest truly is history, and has lead to Ryan becoming known as “The Original Website Flipping Broker”, the first public broker of websites on the Internet, who aims to teach others exactly how to not just make an income selling their own websites, but other webmasters websites at the same time.
What Comes Next?
Having recently acquired Flipping Awesome from the previous owners Ian and Amy (who’s work on this site we respect 100% and value!), Ryan and Dave are currently in the process of developing a revolutionary course on selling websites on Flippa, and establishing themselves at the forefront of the website flipping industry. This is very much a “watch this space” scenario.
